FIFPro World XI

Since 2005 the FIFPro has chosen its world team ( FIFPro World XI ), until 2008 also the best player of the previous year. For this purpose, a voting card with a preselection of 55 outstanding players from the previous season will be sent to all professional footballers organized under the FIFPro. A team consisting of a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers must then be put together from these.

Since 2009, FIFPro and FIFA have decided to jointly search for FIFA FIFPro World XI , although the electoral process has not changed.

FIFPro World Player of the Year

The player who received the most votes in the FIFPro World XI election was also named FIFPro World Player of the Year from 2005 to 2008 . After the merger with FIFA, FIFPro no longer awards this award.
