Fahad Al-Mirdasi

Fahad Al-Mirdasi ( Arabic فهد المرداسي, DMG Fahd al-Mirdāsī ; * August 16, 1985 in Riyadh ) is a former Saudi Arabian football referee .

Career

Al-Mirdasi was approved by FIFA as an international referee since 2011 . It was used in 2015 at the AFC Asian Cup and the U-20 World Cup in 2015 , in 2016 at the Olympic Football Tournament and in the 2015 Asian Football Championship and in 2017 at the Confed Cup in Russia.

Al-Mirdasi was appointed as referee for the 2018 World Cup in Russia together with his assistants Mohammed Al-Abakry and Abdulah Alshalwai . In the following, Al-Mirdasi admitted that he had demanded a bribe from the President of Ittihad before the final of the Saudi Arabian King Cup between Ittihad FC and Al-Faisaly FC and was then recalled shortly before the game by the Saudi Arabian association SAFF and for life blocked. As a result, Al-Mirdasi and his two assistants were also excluded from FIFA as referees at the World Cup at the end of May 2018.
