Fassmer MPV 25 is the name of the shipyard for a series of work vessels from the Fassmer shipyard in Berne , two of which were built for the Bremen Waterways and Shipping Authority .
history
The ships were ordered from Ms. Fassmers by the mechanical engineering department and built in 2008 and 2012 respectively. The first ship of the series, the Weserland , was christened on August 14, 2008 in the Farge suburb of the Bremen Waterways and Shipping Office . The construction costs for the ship amounted to 3.4 million euros. The second unit was the Weserplate , which is 26.81 meters long and slightly longer than the 25.60 meter long Weserland , on August 8, 2012 , near the Farge suburb. The construction costs for this ship amounted to 4.2 million euros.

The ships classified as inland vessels are used by the Waterways and Shipping Office Bremen in their area of responsibility on the Weser , Lesum and Hunte . Tasks are maintenance and service work on fixed and floating shipping signs and hydraulic engineering systems, supervisory and control trips , bearings, and supply and transport tasks . The vehicles can also be used as push boats . They are equipped with push shoulders for this purpose. They are also suitable for the side towing of pontoons , barges or prams .
The ships are operated by the Bremen Waterways and Shipping Office with a crew of two . The range of the ships is around 900 nautical miles .
Technical specifications
The vessels are powered by two diesel engines each with 216 kW power driven, the two Z-Drive with Kort nozzle act. As a bow thruster one is pumping jet installed. When Weserland diesel engines were from Iveco built in the Weser Plate engines come from Volvo Penta (type: D9 300MH) are used. The Weserland's pump jet has an output of 99 kW. At the Weserplate , the pump jet is driven by a Volvo Penta engine (type: D5A-TA) with an output of 118 kW. Two diesel generator sets are available for the power supply.
There is an open working deck in front of the deckhouse in the rear of the ships . The working deck is accessible via a hydraulically operated bow ramp . There is a hydraulic crane on the work deck that can lift 1.2 t. The ships can load and transport 15.3 t on the working deck.
A lounge, galley and sanitary facilities for the crew as well as a workshop are set up on the main deck in the deckhouse . Above is the bridge deck, which is provided with a tilting wheelhouse, in which the upper part can be lowered over the lower part in order to reduce the headroom of the vehicle for crossing under bridges. The mast can also be folded hydraulically to cross under bridges. The engine room is located in the fuselage .
