Feelings from the Ashes is the third solo album by the German singer and guitarist Olli Schulz . It was released on January 9, 2015 on the indie label Trocadero. It was recorded in the Berlin Hansa recording studios , with Gisbert zu Knyphausen (bass), Arne Augustin (piano, keyboards) and Ben Lauber (drums) among others .

On August 7, 2014, Olli Schulz announced in a video on his Facebook page that he was working on a new album. On December 5, 2014, the title Phase was released as a single in advance and reached number 1 on the Campus Charts . The video shot with Palina Rojinski was due to be released on January 9, 2015, but was withheld due to the attack on Charlie Hebdo . It was released on January 13, 2015. Directed by Wolf Gresenz.
The official release party for the album took place on January 9th, 2015 in Berlin.
The “Bonus Edition” of the album (including the additional track 10 Biddels ) reached number 1 on the iTunes charts on January 11, 2015.
At MTV Germany and the FAZ , the release was the "album of the week".
The cover picture was taken by Oliver Rath .
The title is a play on words, a kind of homophone with a phoenix .
As musical guests, Olli Schulz was able to win, among others, Thees Uhlmann for choral singing in Das Kann Uglich Werden and the Australian singer Kat Frankie for an outro in the song Feelings Aus Der Asche .
