Felice Piccolo (born August 27, 1983 in Pomigliano d'Arco ( NA ), Italy ) is an Italian football player . He is a central defender and has been under contract with US Alessandria Calcio in the Lega Pro since summer 2016 .
Career
In the club
Felice Piccolo began his career in the youth department of Juventus Turin , in the 2001/02 season he made his debut in the Coppa Italia for the first team.
To gain experience, Piccolo was first loaned to AS Lucchese Libertas in Serie C1 , later to Como Calcio in Serie B , where he was a regular player. The 2004/05 season he spent at Reggina Calcio in Serie A and came eight missions. The following year Piccolo was loaned to Lazio Rome , where he only played two Serie A games.
For the 2006/07 season came to Piccolo Juventus back, because of the manipulation scandal 2005/06 in the Serie B relegated had. After he was initially not considered by coach Didier Deschamps , he was used more often during the season , also due to the injuries of the regular central defenders Jean-Alain Boumsong and Robert Kovač .
For the 2007/08 season Juve sold 50% of Piccolo's transfer rights to FC Empoli .
At the end of August 2009, Felice Piccolo was loaned to AC Chievo Verona for a season with a purchase option . On February 12, 2010 Chievo announced the loan of the defender to the Romanian first division club CFR Cluj until the end of the season . There he signed a contract until 2014 in the summer of 2010. He won the championship with the Romanians in the 2009/10 and 2011/12 seasons . In the summer of 2014, his contract was not renewed and he was without a club for two months before Spezia Calcio brought him into Serie B. He played there for two years. After he was hardly used in the 2015/16 season , he moved to US Alessandria Calcio in the Lega Pro . There he missed promotion twice in a row with his team in the play-offs.
In the national team
Felice Piccolo has played in the youth national teams since the U-15 and completed a total of 54 junior internationals. For the senior national team , however, he has not yet been used.
