Felix Alexander von Cube (born November 30, 1876 in Menton , France , † January 27, 1964 in Stuttgart-Heslach ) was a dermatologist , naturalist and mountaineer . A mountain in Corsica and a butterfly are named after him.

Felix von Cube was an enthusiastic mountaineer, natural scientist and doctor. He had already joined the Academic Alpine Association in Munich while studying in Munich . Between 1895 and 1904 he climbed 262 mountain peaks and hiked over 60 mountain passes . His favorite island was Corsica, whose mountain ranges he explored in 1899, 1902 and 1904. During his expeditions in Corsica, he climbed 38 peaks, 17 of which were first ascents . The highest mountains he climbed included the Punta Minuta (2556 meters), the Capu Larghia (2503 meters) and the Capu Tafunatu (2343 meters). In 1966, the city ​​council of Asco in Corsica named a 2247 meter high rock pyramid after Felix Alexander von Cube, today's “Pic von Cube”. The Corsicans revered him as the "pioneer de l'alpinisme en corse". In 1906 he moved from Munich to Stuttgart and settled as a specialist in skin diseases, at the same time he became an expert on beetles and butterflies through self-study . The Entomological Association in Stuttgart commissioned him in 1913 to rework the fauna of Württemberg. A very rare butterfly, the "Cube-C" was named after him.
