Felix Drahotta (born January 1, 1989 in Bad Doberan ) is a German rower .

Drahotta starts for the Rostock rowing club from 1885 . In February 2007 Drahotta won the unofficial rowing gymnastics world championships in Boston with a time of 5: 59.7 minutes in the junior class. In the summer of 2007 Drahotta was with the German eighth junior world champion at the junior world championships . With a fifth place at the Rowing World Cup in Poznan in June 2008, he qualified together with Tom Lehmann in two without a helmsman for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . There the two took fourth place in the Olympic regatta.

In the Olympic cycle before the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Drahotta was only active internationally in the two-man without a helmsman. With Nils Menke he finished seventh at the 2009 World Championships , but then failed to qualify for the World Championships in New Zealand the following year. In the 2011 season he was nominated together with Maximilian Munski in two for the World Championships , where the duo took sixth place. In the Olympic season, Drahotta and his partner Anton Braun were the fastest boat in the team at the DRV small boat inspection in Duisburg, and later both were nominated in this combination for the Olympic Games in London . The German team finished 7th in the Olympic rowing regatta.

After the games in London, Drahotta was able to firmly establish himself in the squad of the Germany eight . At the European Championships in 2013 he won his first international title in the adult class with the gold medal in the German eighth, and later the team won the silver medal behind the United Kingdom with him at the 2013 World Rowing Championships . Drahotta was able to repeat both successes as a member of the Germany eight in both 2014 and 2015 at both European and World Cup. At the European Championships in 2014 , Drahotta led the eighth as a batsman . In 2016, Germany won the European Championships ahead of the Russians and the British, and the Dutch eighth won the World Cup twice. In the final of the 2016 Olympic Games , the finish line was like at the World Championships 2013 to 2015, behind the British, the rowers of the Germany eight received the silver medal.

For his sporting achievements Drahotta was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Gauck on November 1, 2016 .
