Finike is a district ( İlçe ) of the Turkish province of Antalya and, together with the district town of Finike, is also part of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Antalya (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . It borders the Demre and Kaş Counties to the west , Elmalı County to the north and Kumluca County to the east .

With Kumluca, Finike is considered to be the orange and vegetable garden of Turkey. From this the emblem of the district, an orange, is derived. There are several hotels on the coast. Popular excursion destinations are the ruins of Arykanda and Limyra .

Since a regional reform in 2014, the district has been identical to the district town in terms of area and population; all former villages and communities in the district have become Machalla (districts) of the city.
