Finn Døssing Jensen (born April 27, 1941 in Viborg ) is a former Danish football player .

Career

Finn Døssing was born in Viborg in April 1941 when Denmark was under German occupation in World War II . He began his career in the 1950s in his birthplace at Viborg FF . For the Danish second division club Døssing played until the end of the 1964 season before moving to Dundee United in Scotland for £ 10,000 in December 1964 . Along with Swedish midfielder Örjan Persson , Døssing was the club's first non-British player. Under coach Jerry Kerr , Døssing was able to achieve 21 goals in 19 league games in 19 league games in the remainder of the 1964/65 season to April 1965 after his commitment in December 1964 . He succeeded against Hibernian Edinburgh on January 16, 1965 a hat trick . In the following season 1965/66 he was able to achieve 25 goals in 34 games. He was able to score nine goals with hat tricks alone. A special one in the 5-0 win in the Dundee Derby against FC Dundee in September 1965. On October 16, 1965, Døssing hit the opposing net after just 14 seconds in the league game against Hamilton Academical . He holds the record for the fastest goal ever scored in Dundee United's history. Together with Örjan Persson as the preparer and Døssing as the executor, the two United led the European Cup for the first time at the end of the season. In the Messestädte-Pokal 1966/67 they won two wins against FC Barcelona before the club was eliminated after a 3-0 away defeat and a 1-0 second leg win against Juventus Turin . In the 1966/67 season Døssing scored 12 goals in 27 games. In 1967 he played with the entire Dundee United squad under the name Dallas Tornado during the summer break in Scotland in the United Soccer Association . He scored three goals in ten games. In the 1960s , he shaped the Scottish club with the other Scandinavian players Finn Seemann , Lennart Wing , Mogens Berg and Örjan Persson. After a total of 115 competitive games and 76 goals, he left the club at the end of the season 1967/68 . He then played for Aalborg BK in Denmark where he ended his career at the end of the 1968 season.

In January 2008, Døssing was one of the first to be inducted into the Dundee United Hall of Fame .

National team

As a player from Viborg , Finn Døssing played once on September 15, 1963 in the Danish U-21 national team . In the 5-2 win against Norway at Københavns Idrætspark , Døssing scored the goal to lead them 1-0.
