Fischbach is a district of the town of Schleusingen in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

The mountain village of Fischbach is located in a higher Mulde valley in the middle of the Thuringian Forest north of the city of Schleusingen and the federal highway 73 .
history
The place emerged from two glassworks in the 15th century and already had a hen as a place seal during the Electoral Saxon period. The first documentary mention of the mountain village Fischbach was on August 7th, 1130. Until 1815 the place belonged to the Henneberg or Electoral Saxon office Schleusingen and then came to the Schleusingen district of the newly formed Prussian province of Saxony , where it remained until 1945.
