Fischbach is the smallest district of the community Hauneck in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .
history
The village was first mentioned on October 16, 1312. At that time Fischbach was located between the monastery areas of Hersfeld and Fulda . The place was in Buchenau's office Schildschlag , which belonged to the Hersfeld Abbey and from 1648 to the Landgraviate of Hesse .
On August 1, 1972, Fischbach was incorporated into the municipality of Hauneck as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
