Eitra is a district of the community Hauneck in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .

Geographical location

The place is between Bodes in the south and Sieglos in the north.

history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1385 as Eyter . In 1494 the desolation came as a fief to the knight family von Buchenau . From an administrative point of view , the place belonged to the Schildschlag Office at that time .

On August 1, 1972, Eitra was incorporated into the municipality of Hauneck as part of the regional reform in Hesse .

religion

The place belongs to the evangelical parish Unterhaun , but has its own evangelical-reformed church, which was built in 1894 by the places Eitra and Sieglos together.

Infrastructure

State road 3170 runs through the village, federal road 27 to the west of the village . Local public transport is provided by RKH Bus GmbH on line 365.
