Five Points is a census-designated place (CDP) in Columbia County in the US state of Florida with a population of 1265 (as of 2010).

Five Points is directly adjacent to the city of Lake City and is approximately 90 km west of Jacksonville . The CDP is crossed by US Highways 41 ( SR 100 ) and 441 ( SR 47 ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 1265 inhabitants were distributed over 460 households. The population density was 188.8 inh / km². 75.8% of the population described themselves as white, 20.4% as African American and 0.1% as Native American . 1.5% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.2% to several ethnic groups. 3.6% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 24.5% of all households lived in 37.0% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 60.6% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.72 people and the average family size was 3.41 people.

27.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 32.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 14.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 34 years. 57.2% of the population were male and 42.8% were female.

The median annual income was $ 26,635, with 29.1% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
