Flashpoint is a live album by the Rolling Stones from 1991.

album

This live album was recorded during the Steel Wheels / Urban Jungle tour in 1989–1990. It contains excerpts from concerts in the USA, England, Japan, Spain and Italy. The recordings were reworked with overdubs , easily recognizable from the audience noises after Ruby Tuesday , where the identical song request for the title Paint It Black can be heard as on the 1970s live LP Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! (there before Sympathy for the Devil ).

It also includes two new studio productions made in the Hit Factory in London in early 1991, Highwire and Sexdrive . The rocky Highwire , which was also released as a single, is about international arms deals on the occasion of the Gulf War; Another boycott by the BBC followed .

The album was produced by Chris Kimsey and The Glimmer Twins , a pseudonym of Jagger / Richards .

Flashpoint reached number 6 in the US and 16 in the UK.
