Undercover is the 17th album by the Rolling Stones . It was produced by Chris Kimsey and the Glimmer Twins . After the studio album Tattoo You had been made mostly from outtakes from the 1970s, the Stones only produced newly recorded material for Undercover .

history

After the European tour of 1982 ended, the recordings for Undercover began in Paris in the summer of 1982. The album was finally completed in New York.

The recording sessions weren't easy for the Rolling Stones, however, as there was tremendous tension between Jagger and Richards. Jagger wanted to bring a new style to the record, but Richards wanted to focus more on the actual blues and rock roots.

The cover of the US-American LP contains seven removable stickers in geometric patterns.
