Chris Kimsey

Christopher Kenneth Kimsey (born December 3, 1951 in Battersea , London ) is a British music producer , sound engineer and musician . He was best known for his productions for rock bands like The Rolling Stones , Killing Joke , Marillion or artists like Johnny Hallyday , Peter Tosh or Peter Frampton . The best-known songs he has produced include Slipping away by The Rolling Stones, Kayleigh by Marillion and Adorations by Killing Joke.

life and career

Christopher Kenneth Kimsey, born in Battersea in London in 1951, began his career as an assistant in the Olympic Studios in London , and later as an independent sound engineer working on the mixing console for various international music groups and solo artists in Great Britain.

Since 1971 he has been an engineer and since 1972 also as a music producer responsible for numerous successful pop and rock albums that have achieved high chart placements. As a gray eminence, he was also unbroken during the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. During this time, as a sound engineer and producer, he supervised and produced numerous albums by artists and bands such as The Cult , The Psychedelic Furs , Duran Duran , Fish , Jimmy Cliff , Soul Asylum , Deacon Blue , Ash and New Model Army .

Chris Kimsey now lives and works in the UK as an independent producer, sound engineer and musician .
