The Quesnel Airport is a regional airport in the Canadian province of British Columbia . The airport is located at the north end of the city between Highway 35 and the Fraser River . It offers its visitors free parking spaces. It is in the time zone UTC -8 ( DST -7).

history

The airport opened in 1942. The first terminal was built in 1968. Shortly thereafter, Quesnel was served by commercial airlines. At the beginning of the 80s the capacity of the existing terminal was no longer sufficient and planning began for a new, larger terminal. It was completed in 1993. In 1997 the airport was taken over by the city of Quesnel.
