The airfield Pirmasens is a German airfield on the pot dumping height near Pirmasens . It is located in the former control zone of what was then Zweibrücken Airport and is used for aviation and general aviation.
The place is approved for airplanes, helicopters and balloons up to ten tons and is served by three air sports clubs.
history
The air sports club Eßweiler used the airfield from 1954 to 1963. On January 5, 1995 the ICAO code was changed from EDRZ to EDRP.
Airlines and Destinations
The airport is not served by scheduled airlines.
During the flight days, however, there are regular charter flights of Ju-Air with a Ju 52 in the sense of transfer flights to the glider airfield in Bensheim in Hesse and to the military airfield in Dübendorf in Switzerland .
