Forécariah (prefecture)

Location of the city and prefecture of Forécariah in Guinea

Forécariah is a prefecture in the region Kindia in Guinea with about 135,000 inhabitants. Like all Guinean prefectures, it is named after its capital, Forécariah .

The prefecture is located in the west of the country, on the Atlantic coast and the border with Sierra Leone , and covers an area of 4,265 km².
