Boffa is a prefecture in the Boké region in Guinea with about 164,000 inhabitants. Like all Guinean prefectures, it is named after its capital, Boffa .

The prefecture is located in the west of the country on the Atlantic coast and covers an area of ​​5003 km².

In the area of today's Prefecture, the Kingdom was in before and during colonial times Koba of Baga . The only capital of this kingdom, Taboriya, is now part of the Koba-Tatema sub -prefecture .
