Frances O'Connor

Frances O'Connor (born June 12, 1967 in Wantage , Oxfordshire ) is a British - Australian actress .

life and career

At the age of two, Frances O'Connor moved to Perth , Australia with her parents, a nuclear physicist and a pianist . At the Curtin University graduate them with the Bachelor of Arts in Literature Science.

O'Connor graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), a faculty at Edith Cowan University , in 1992 . A year later she made her debut in the television series Law of the Land . In the comedy All About Adam (2000) she played the role of Laura Owens , the sister of Lucy Owens , played by Kate Hudson . She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Emma Bovary in the television drama Madame Bovary (2000) .

O'Connor now lives in Melbourne . With her long-time partner, the Scottish fellow actor Gerald Lepkowski , she has a son.
