Francisco Javier Hernández Arnedo OAR (born January 13, 1941 in Cascante ) is a Spanish religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Tianguá .

Life

Francisco Javier Hernández Arnedo joined the order of the Augustinian recollects and was ordained a priest on July 8, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tianguá on March 6, 1991 . The Archbishop of Fortaleza , Aloísio Cardinal Lorscheider OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on May 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Clóvis Frainer OFMCap , Archbishop of Manaus , and Florentino Zabalza Iturri OAR, Prelate of Lábrea . He chose Bonus eris minister as his motto .

On February 15, 2017, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
