Franz Boehm (actor)

Franz Boehm (born June 24, 1938 in Ingolstadt , † July 20, 1989 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German actor .

Life

Boehm studied singing at the Trapp Conservatory in Munich . He had his first engagement from 1959 to 1963 in the choir of the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz . From 1960 he took private acting lessons.

He took on his first stage role in 1963 at the Baden-Baden Theater . From 1965 to 1968 he worked at the Schlosstheater Celle and from 1968 to 1970 at the Theater Kiel . From 1970 to 1977 he was a member of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . Important roles here were Nikita in Tolstoy's The Power of Darkness (1975) and John in The Rats (1976).

From 1977 to 1978 he worked at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main , where he took on the title role in Baumeister Solneß in 1978 . Then he worked as a freelancer. His roles included Riccaut in Minna von Barnhelm in 1980 at the Stuttgart State Theater , Otto der Friseur in Jubiläum 1982 at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , Gloster in König Lear in 1984 at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich and Carl Salter in Luigi Pirandello's Come tu mi vuoi in 1988 at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan .

Boehm also worked in films and television, especially in series. He was seen several times in the crime series Tatort , most recently as "Heinz Maurer" in the episode Zeitünder .
