Franz Kaulfersch

Franz Xaver Kaulfersch (born December 3, 1901 in Luxdorf near Gablonz, Bohemia ; † February 9, 1995 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.

Life

Kaulfersch received training from 1915 to 1919 at the decorative and figural drawing department at the Gablonzer Kunstgewerbeschule. He then completed his studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna until 1926 . From 1935 to 1967 Kaulfersch was in charge of the painting school in Leesdorf Castle near Baden. He was also the pedagogical director of the youth home in Hirtenberg and teacher at the structural engineering department of the HTL Mödling .

Franz Kaulfersch was a co-founder of the regional association of Lower Austrian art associations and was also its vice-president, and he was also a member of the Esslingen Artists' Guild .

Kaulfersch was buried on February 23, 1995 in the Mauer cemetery in the 23rd district of Vienna (group T, no. 7).
