Franz Longin

Franz Longin (born November 28, 1933 in Wenkerschlag , Sudetenland ) is a tax advisor and auditor as well as a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg . In the 10th electoral term from 1988 to 1992 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

Franz Longin attended elementary school and grammar school in Neuhaus in the Sudetenland. After the expulsion of his family, he switched to a high school in Heidenheim an der Brenz . After completing his commercial training, he completed further training in business administration at the Administration and Business Academy in Stuttgart. Since 1964 he has been a self-employed tax advisor and later also an auditor.

Political activity

In the state elections in 1988 , Franz Longin was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg through a direct mandate in the state constituency Stuttgart IV , to which he belonged for the entire 10th electoral period from 1988 to 1992. He took over the office from his party friend Horst Poller , who did not run again. During this time, Sabine Kurtz , who later became a member of the state parliament, was his advisor. In the state elections in 1992 , the SPD won the direct mandate in this constituency with Helga Ulmer . Second mandates were not granted in 1992 in this constituency.

Other offices, honors and awards

In 1978 he was elected Vice President and later President of the Stuttgart Chamber of Tax Advisors . He held this office until June 2014. His successor was Uwe Schramm; he himself was made honorary president when he left.

From 1991 to 2011 he was President of the Baden-Württemberg State Association of Liberal Professions

He was a member of the Federal Assembly of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft . In 2012 he was again co-opted into the state board of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft in Baden-Württemberg , of which he has been a member for a long time.

On 6 May 2000 he was awarded by Prime Minister Erwin Teufel , the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg . On October 28, 2008, he was made an honorary senator from the Stuttgart University of Cooperative Education.

In Austria, Franz Longin was awarded the Golden Decoration of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria by the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen . The handover took place on the occasion of the Kreuzberg meeting in Kleinschweinbarth on June 23, 2019 by Ing.Norbert Kapeller, General Secretary of the Association of German Old Austrian Landsmannschaften (VLÖ).

Franz Longin is a Roman Catholic.
