Horst Poller

Horst Poller (born May 3, 1926 in Selb ; † October 2, 2018 ) was a German publisher , publicist and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After participating in the war and imprisonment, Poller studied agricultural sciences at the Technical University of Munich , where he received his Dr. agr. received his doctorate . He then studied economics and business administration at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . At the law and political science faculty there, he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD (dissertation: cost accounting in competitive production: illustrated using the example of a precision engineering company ).

After his marriage, Poller worked from 1952 to 1964 as a director's assistant, sales manager and authorized signatory at Gebrüder Junghans AG , a watch manufacturer based in Schramberg . He then moved to Stuttgart-Degerloch , where he initially worked as managing director of a trading company and later as managing director in the holding company of a publishing company. In 1972 he started his own business with Horst Poller Verlag. In addition, he was a member of the supervisory board of the media and film company Baden-Württemberg , deputy chairman of the RKW state group Baden-Württemberg and from 1990 to 2008 chairman of the house and landowner association in Stuttgart .

Poller joined the CDU in 1958 and was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged until 1988, through a direct mandate from the Stuttgart IV constituency in the 1976 state elections . In the state elections in 1980 and 1984 , he also entered parliament as a directly elected member. His area of ​​responsibility mainly included economic policy.

Horst Poller was married to Lore Junghans (* 1930) since 1952. The marriage resulted in two daughters and a son.
