The four-lane US Highway 10 runs along the southwestern outskirts . This crosses Minnesota State Route 87 as the main road through central Frazee . All other roads are subordinate and partly unpaved roads as well as inner-city connecting roads.
Parallel to the US 10 runs a railway line of the BNSF Railway , on which also the Empire Builder of Amtrak inverted and engages a stop in the adjacent Detroit Lakes.
With the Detroit Lakes Airport there is a small regional airfield located 13 miles northwest. The nearest major airport is Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, 328 km southeast .
