Braceful left Dauner in 1973 and founded the Exmagma group with guitarist / bassist Andy Goldner and keyboardist Thomas Balluff , which successfully moved between jazz rock, art rock and avant-garde and also recorded three recordings. In 1976 he helped found the Moira group. In the early 1980s he moved to Munich , where he formed his own trio and accompanied guest soloists. From 1982 he also played in a trio with Bernd Köppen and Jay Oliver . In 1987 he was a member of the band No Distance , led by saxophonist Margie Gschlössl and keyboardist Michael Uitz , with whom he recorded two albums reminiscent of Et Cetera and Exmagma . He then played in the trio of saxophonist Michael Hornstein , where he was involved in the recording of the CD Slow Blue .

Braceful also created the music for radio plays (eg 1975 "Pilgerfahrt" in the realization of Peter Michel Ladiges ) and in 1972 created the radio play "Experience more" with Wolfgang Kiwus and Wolfgang Dauner.
