Fredi Camminadi
Fredi Camminadi (born March 9, 1924 in Kulmbach , Bavaria ) is a German politician. He is the former mayor of Hemer and a member of the SPD .
Life
The Camminadi family has been based in Hemer since 1845; Fredi Camminadi fought as a pilot in the Air Force in World War II.
After the war he was involved in local politics as well as in some clubs and associations. Among other things, he was chairman of the workers' welfare organization and active in the community and homeland association as well as a hobby filmmaker in the video team of the Felsenmeer city.
Fredi Camminadi is married and has two sons. His father Heinrich was appointed mayor of the Deilinghofen municipality in 1945 by the US troops . Fredi Camminadi's younger son Bernhard is also politically active and ran for the office of Mayor of Hemeran in 2004, but was narrowly defeated by Michael Esken (CDU). Bernhard Camminadi took part again in 2009.

In 1947 Fredi Camminadi joined the SPD. Five years later he moved to the Hemer City Council for the first time, to which he was a member until 1989 without interruption. From 1956 he was first deputy mayor before taking up the post of first mayor in 1961. In 1969, Hans Meyer replaced him in this post, Fredi Camminadi switched to the post of deputy parliamentary group leader of the SPD. From 1979 he worked for another 10 years as Meyer's deputy until he left the city council in 1989. As a knowledgeable citizen, he continues to support the work of the SPD parliamentary group.
From 1956 Fredi Camminadi was also a member of the official assembly of the Office Hemer . In 1969 he was elected chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there, which he remained until the municipal reorganization and dissolution of the office in 1975.
At the district level, Camminadi's career began in 1964 when he moved into the district council of the Iserlohn district . After the Iserlohn district had become part of the new Märkisches Kreis in 1975 , he retained the post of SPD parliamentary group leader and was also deputy district administrator between 1984 and 1989. Until 2004, the Hemeraner belonged to the district assembly in Lüdenscheid both as senior president and as the senior member of parliament.
