Friedrich Christian von Hauss

Friedrich Christian von Hauss (also of Hauß and of booms * 1,698 county of Mark ; † 15. December 1764 ) was a Prussian Major General , Chief of Infantry Regiment S 55 and military commander of Leipzig.

Life

In 1715 Hauss was employed in the "Golz" No. 15 infantry regiment . There he was in 1721 Ensign , 1730 Lieutenant , 1732 Captain and 1740 Major . When the army rallied in Brandenburg, he commanded a grenadier battalion, which was formed from the grenadier companies "von Flanß" No. 16 and "Prince Ferdinand" No. 15 . In March 1745 Hauss became lieutenant colonel and in May 1747 colonel . In 1756 he took over the S 55 infantry regiment , which consisted of Saxon soldiers who had been forced into Prussian service after the siege near Pirna . On October 20, 1756, he was appointed major general. In 1757 he succeeded Colonel Manstein as commandant of Leipzig. The regiment came to Ludwig Philipp von Röbel . After the war the regiment was disbanded; his remains came to the 36th Infantry Regiment .

In January 1761, Hauss was retired due to illness. He died on December 15, 1764.

Hauss was with Dorothea Wilhelmine geb. married von Reck.
