Live and act

Habenicht was temporarily appointed in April 1934 and finally on January 23, 1935 as police chief in Wuppertal-Elberfeld . On April 20, 1935, he was appointed SA Brigade Leader. In these two functions he ran on the nomination of the NSDAP on the list place with the number 322 in the election to the German Reichstag on March 29, 1936, but did not enter the National Socialist Reichstag . At that time he lived in Wuppertal-Elberfeld , Danziger Straße 21.

On March 8, 1939, habenicht was transferred to Halle (Saale) because he had expressed sharp criticism in a memorandum against the goals and direction of the prison police . He formally performed the function of the Halle police chief until August 14, 1940. From February 1940 to 1945 he was police chief of Mannheim . On May 5, 1945 he was arrested by the Allies in Eglofs im Allgäu and taken to the Balingen internment camp , where he was incarcerated until at least March 1949.
