The Mannheim Police Headquarters, based in Mannheim, is the regional police headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Police responsible for the Heidelberg and Mannheim districts as well as the Rhine-Neckar district . The office was created as part of the police structural reform in Baden-Württemberg by merging the previous police headquarters in Heidelberg and the previous police headquarters in Mannheim into one police headquarters on January 1, 2014.

The area of responsibility covers an area of 1315 km² with approx. 1,000,000 inhabitants.
Like all police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg, the Mannheim Police Headquarters are divided into the Police Station , Criminal Police Directorate and Traffic Police Directorate . The management area consists of the police chief , the public relations , strategic controlling and quality management units as well as the management and operations staff, the crime prevention department and administration. The police headquarters has a staff of 2700 employees.
Police Station Directorate
17 police stations (PRev) and 27 police posts (Pp) are subordinate to the police station directorate at the Mannheim police headquarters. In detail these are:

Criminal Police Directorate
The Kriminalpolizeidirektion (KPDir) is based in Heidelberg. Eight task-oriented criminal inspections (K) and one criminal commissioner (KK) have been set up within the KPDir.
