The Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters, based in Ludwigsburg, is the regional police headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Police responsible for the Boeblingen district and the Ludwigsburg district . The office was created as part of the structural reform of the police in Baden-Württemberg by merging the previous police departments in Böblingen and Ludwigsburg into one police headquarters on January 1, 2014.

Like all police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg, the police headquarters in Ludwigsburg are divided into the police stations , criminal police and traffic police directors . The management area consists of the police chief , the public relations , strategic controlling and quality management units as well as the management and operations staff, the crime prevention department and administration. The police headquarters has a staff of 1,800.
Police Station Directorate
10 police stations (PRev) and 30 police stations (Pp) are subordinate to the police station directorate at the location of the Ludwigsburg police headquarters. In detail these are:

- Police station Böblingen with the four police stations Ehningen , Holzgerlingen , Schönaich and Waldenbuch

- Herrenberg police station with the two police stations in Gärtringen and Gäufelden
- Kornwestheim police station with the two police posts Asperg and Remseck am Neckar
- Leonberg police station with the three police stations Renningen , Rutesheim and Weil der Stadt
- Police station Ludwigsburg with the two police posts Ludwigsburg-Eglosheim and Ludwigsburg-Oststadt
- Police station Marbach with the three police stations Freiberg am Neckar , Großbottwar and Steinheim an der Murr
- Sindelfingen police station with the Sindelfingen-Maichingen police station
- Police station Vaihingen an der Enz with the three police stations Markgröningen , Sachsenheim and Schwieberdingen
The management group, the police dog handler unit and the business and environment unit are also subordinate .
Criminal Police Directorate
The criminal police directorate (KPDir) has its seat in Böblingen. Eight task-oriented criminal inspections (K) and one criminal commissioner (KK) have been set up within the KPDir .
