The Constance Police Headquarters, based in Constance, is the regional police headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Police responsible for the Lake Constance district , the Konstanz district , the Ravensburg district and the Sigmaringen district . The office was created as part of the structural reform of the police in Baden-Württemberg by merging the previous police departments of Friedrichshafen , Konstanz, Ravensburg and Sigmaringen into one police headquarters on January 1, 2014.
From January 1, 2020, as part of the correction of the police reform, the Constance police headquarters will include the districts of Konstanz, Rottweil , Tuttlingen and the Schwarzwald-Baar district . The Lake Constance district and the districts of Ravensburg and Sigmaringen form a new regional police headquarters based in Ravensburg.

The area of responsibility covers an area of 4319 km² with approx. 900,000 inhabitants.
Like all police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg, the Constance Police Headquarters are divided into the Police Station Directorate , the Criminal Police Directorate and the Traffic Police Directorate . The management area consists of the police chief, the public relations , strategic controlling and quality management units as well as the management and operations staff, the crime prevention department and administration. The police headquarters has a staff of 1250 officers from the protection police , 250 from the criminal police and 200 in non-enforcement.
Police Station Directorate
The police station directorate at the location of the Constance Police Headquarters is subordinated to 12 police stations (PRev) and 28 police stations (Pp) are subordinate to the police stations. In detail these are:
- Police station Bad Saulgau with the two police posts in Mengen and Pfullendorf
- Police station Friedrichshafen with the six police posts Friedrichshafen-Altstadt, Friedrichshafen-Flughafen , Police Post, Immenstaad , Langenargen , Meckenbeuren and Tettnang
- Police station Constance with the three police stations Allensbach , Constance-Lutherplatz and Constance-Wollmatingen
- Leutkirch police station with the Bad Wurzach police station
- Radolfzell police station on Lake Constance with the Gaienhofen police station
- Police station Ravensburg
- Police station Sigmaringen with the three police posts Gammertingen , Meßkirch and Stetten am kalten Markt
- Singen police station with the four police stations Engen , Gottmadingen , Rielasingen-Worblingen and Steißlingen
- Stockach police station with the Bodman-Ludwigshafen police station
- Überlingen police station with the three police stations in Markdorf , Meersburg and Salem
- Wangen police station in the Allgäu with the Isny and Vogt police stations
- Weingarten police station with the Altshausen and Bad Waldsee police stations
The management group, the police dog handler team (Pfullendorf, Ravensburg and Singen) and the business and environment unit (Ravensburg and Singen) are also subordinate.
Criminal Police Directorate
The criminal police directorate (KPDir) is based in Friedrichshafen. Eight task-oriented criminal inspections (K) and three criminal commissioners (KK) have been set up within KPDir.
