The Aalen Police Headquarters, based in Aalen, is the police headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Police responsible for the Ostalb district , Rems-Murr district and the Schwäbisch Hall district . The office was created as part of the structural reform of the police in Baden-Württemberg by merging the previous police departments of Aalen, Schwäbisch Hall and Waiblingen into one police headquarters on January 1, 2014.

The area of responsibility covers an area of 3850 km² with 910,100 inhabitants.

Like all police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg, the Aalen police headquarters are divided into the police stations , criminal police and traffic police directors . The management area consists of the police chief , the public relations , strategic controlling and quality management units as well as the management and operational staff, the prevention department and administration. The police headquarters has a staff of 1,600 employees, of which 1,150 are officers from the protection police and 240 from the criminal police.

Ten police stations (PRev) and 32 police stations (Pp) are subordinate to the police station directorate at the Aalen police headquarters. In detail these are:

Aalen police station with the five police stations Aalen- Wasseralfingen , Abtsgmünd , Neresheim , Oberkochen and Westhausen

Backnang police station with the three police stations Murrhardt , Sulzbach an der Murr and Weissach im Tal

Crailsheim police station with the three police stations in Blaufelden , Fichtenau and Rot am See

Police station Ellwangen with the two police posts in Bopfingen and Tannhausen

Fellbach police station with the two police stations Fellbach-Schmiden and Kernen in the Remstal

Schorndorf police station with the three police stations Plüderhausen , Rudersberg and Welzheim

Police station Schwäbisch Gmünd with the six police posts Heubach , Leinzell , Lorch , Schwäbisch Gmünd- Bettringen , Spraitbach and Waldstetten

Schwäbisch Hall police station with the four police stations Bühlertann , Gaildorf , Ilshofen and Mainhardt

Police station Waiblingen with the three police posts Remshalden , Waiblingen- Hohenacker and Weinstadt

Winnenden police station with the Schwaikheim police station

The management group, the police dog handler unit and the business and environment unit are also subordinate .

Criminal Police Directorate

The criminal police directorate (KPDir) is based in Waiblingen. Eight task-oriented criminal inspections (K) and two criminal commissioners (KK) have been set up within the KPDir .
