The Reutlingen Police Headquarters, based in Reutlingen, is the regional police headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Police responsible for the Esslingen district , the Reutlingen district and the Tübingen district . The office was created as part of the structural reform of the police in Baden-Württemberg by merging the previous police departments of Esslingen , Reutlingen and Tübingen into one police headquarters on January 1, 2014.
As of January 1, 2020, the Reutlingen police headquarters will be expanded to include the Zollernalb district as part of the correction of the police reform .

The area of responsibility covers an area of 2255 km² with approx. 1,028,000 inhabitants.
Like all police headquarters in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Reutlingen Police Headquarters are divided into the Police Station , Criminal Police Directorate and Traffic Police Directorate . The management area consists of the police chief , the public relations , strategic controlling and quality management units as well as the management and operations staff, the crime prevention department and administration. The police headquarters has a staff of 2100 employees.
Police Station Directorate
The Police Station Directorate at the Reutlingen Police Headquarters is subordinated to 11 police stations (PRev) and 30 police stations (Pp) are subordinate to the stations. In detail these are:
- Esslingen police station with the five police stations Esslingen-Berkheim , Esslingen-Mettingen , Esslingen-Oberesslingen , Plochingen and Reichenbach an der Fils
- Police station Filderstadt with the three police stations in Leinfelden-Echterdingen , Neuhausen auf den Fildern and Ostfildern
- Police station at Stuttgart Airport
- Police station Kirchheim unter Teck with the three police stations Lenningen , Weilheim an der Teck and Wernau
- Metzingen police station with the Bad Urach police station
- Münsingen police station with the Zwiefalten police station
- Police station Nürtingen with the four police stations Neckartenzlingen , Neuffen , Nürtingen-Roßdorf and Wendlingen am Neckar
- Police station Pfullingen with the two police posts Engstingen and Trochtelfingen
- Police station Reutlingen with the three police posts Reutlingen-Nord and Reutlingen-West
- Police station Rottenburg with the three police stations Ammerbuch , Bodelshausen and Rottenburg-Ergenzingen
- Police station Tübingen with the seven police posts Dettenhausen , Gomaringen , Kirchentellinsfurt , Mössingen , Tübingen city center, Tübingen-Nordstadt and Tübingen-Südstadt
The management group, the police dog handler unit and the business and environment unit are also subordinate.
Criminal Police Directorate
The criminal police department (KPDir) is based in Esslingen. Eight task-oriented criminal inspections (K) and two criminal commissioners (KK) have been set up within the KPDir.

building
The listed building at Kaiserstraße 99 served as a university for the technical center for the textile industry from 1891 to 1994 . Only a plaque on the building still reminds of the earlier use. After a comprehensive renovation, the Reutlingen police headquarters moved into it.
