Friedrich Meier (organ builder)

Friedrich Meier (* 1913 ; † 1978 ) was a German organ builder .

Life

Friedrich Meier learned from Ignaz Weise and started his own business in Plattling around 1950 . He also built larger organs, mostly with cone chests, mainly in Lower Bavaria , but also in the Upper Palatinate . In addition to building new organs, Meier carried out renovations and electrified organs. Occasionally he replaced the master's pneumatic organs with larger instruments with electric action.
