Friedrichsbruch is a residential area in the municipality of Großderschau in the Havelland district in Brandenburg . The place belongs to the office Rhinow .

location

The dead end village of Friedrichsbruch is located in the Westhavelland Nature Park directly on the Dosse , around eight kilometers as the crow flies south of Neustadt (Dosse) . The only direct neighbor is Jühlitz in the west. The Brenkenhof settlement is south of Friedrichsbruch , Großderschau to the south-west and Raminsgut to the north-west . The federal highway 102 is located about a kilometer west of Friedrich break.

history

Friedrichsbruch was established as a colonial settlement in 1773/74. The place was created according to plans of the Prussian King Friedrich II. And was named after him, the same motif can also be found in the district of Friedrichsdorf , which is also part of Großderschau . Friedrichsbruch belonged to the Ruppinische Kreis in the Mark Brandenburg and from 1815 remained in the administrative unit in the Prussian province of Brandenburg, which was continued as the Kreis Ruppin . Also from 1773 there was a school in Friedrichsbruch. On January 1, 1937, Jühlitz was incorporated into Friedrichsbruch.

After the administrative reform in the GDR on July 25, 1952, the community initially belongs to the Kyritz district in the Potsdam district , before being reclassified to the Rathenow district in January 1958 . On July 1, 1965, Friedrichsbruch was incorporated into the community of Großderschau. In 1972 the village school in Friedrichsbruch was closed. After the reunification Friedrich breaking belonged for three years for the district Rathenow , who in December 1993 with the district Nauen to Havelland merged.
