history

Friedrichsthal emerged from a commercial enterprise on the lower Bibicke. The Dahler Breit- or Schwarzblechhammer was converted into a paper mill in 1823 , which at that time belonged to the manufacturer Friedrich Frahne. Probably around 1835 the mill and the square in the valley of the Bigge were also named Friedrichsthal after the owner at the time.
