The Frisian Mill Road is an approx. 70 kilometer long holiday road that connects nine grain windmills and a water-scoop windmill. It runs over the area of the Lower Saxony districts of Wesermarsch , Friesland , Wittmund and the city of Wilhelmshaven .

The Frisian Mühlenstrasse frames the Jade Bay . In the months of June, July and August every year, cyclists can use the Wilhelmshaven-Eckwarderhörne passenger ferry to finish Mühlenstraße as a circular route at the starting point.

History and future
The Frisian Mühlenstrasse was opened on Whit Monday 1996. In the words of the deputy district administrator of the district of Friesland, it was from the beginning the task of Mühlenstraße "to bring life to the tourist offer and to make our homeland and its cultural and historical past tangible."
The mills on the Frisian Mühlenstraße have also been stations on the Lower Saxony Mühlenstraße since 2010 . However, the route of the Lower Saxony Mühlenstraße differs from that of the Frisian Mühlenstraße.
