Fritz Eiberle (born September 17, 1904 in Würzburg ; † September 22, 1987 ) was a German football player who was active in TSV 1860 Munich in 1931 with the "lions" in the final of the German championship and was headed by Reich trainer Otto Nerz for the international match of the senior national team played on November 19, 1933 in Zurich against the Swiss national team.

career

The trained goldsmith came to the 1930/31 round from the lower-class Würzburger FV to the Munich "Lions", which host the association games in the Bavarian regional league, Southern Bavaria group. Former national player Max Breunig has just started his second creative phase with the white-blue team as a coach . The runner series with Ludwig Stock , Alois Pledl and the newcomer from Würzburg quickly developed into a guarantor of success for the Breunig-Elf. In the district league, the 60s finished second behind FC Bayern Munich, but in the finals in southern Germany, the second and third placed, the "playful seed" of coach Breunig really came up. 1860 won first place with 26: 2 points and a goal difference of 70:21 goals in 14 games in front of 1. FC Nürnberg. After qualifying games against Phönix Ludwigshafen you were in the final round of the German championship. There the "Löwen" prevailed with a confusing combination game and high game culture against the Meidericher Spielverein (4: 1), Tennis Borussia Berlin (1: 0) and in the semifinals against Holstein Kiel (2: 0) and were thus in the final. In the games against those of Sepp Herberger Tennis Borussia trained with the defender couple Heinz Emmerich and Hans Brunke and against Kiel "Storks" with the complete proven in Nationalelfeinsätzen attack quintet with Kurt Voss , Oskar Ritter , John Ludwig , Werner Widmayer and Franz Esser were Eiberle and colleagues have by no means been favorites. The same was true in the final on June 14, 1931 in Cologne-Müngersdorf against defending champion Hertha BSC with his outstanding player Johannes Sobek . Very unhappy, Munich had to be content with the runner-up after a 2-3 defeat. With the defense formation Alfred Riemke - Max Schäfer , Josef Wendl - Ludwig Stock , Alois Pledl and Fritz Eiberle, the team of coach Breunig kept the not in top form playing champions in check for a long time, and the attack with Ludwig Stiglbauer , Ludwig Lachner , Anton Huber , Otto Oeldenberger and Gustav Thalmeier determined the final far more than Sobek and colleagues.

When the Munich team moved into the finals for the German championship as South German runners-up after the 1932/33 season , Eiberle was not used due to injury. In his fourth year with the "Löwen", 1933/34 , the White-Blue came in the first played Gauliga Bayern behind 1. FC Nürnberg to the runner-up. Reich trainer Otto Nerz played a friendly against Switzerland on November 19, 1933 in Zurich with a view to the 1934 World Cup in Italy. He used four debutants against the Confederates: Ludwig Goldbrunner , Eiberle, Ernst Lehner and Matthias Heidemann . As in the club, Fritz Eiberle played as a left wing runner and had the support of his club mates Josef Wendl and Ludwig Lachner . He was not called to any other international games.

For professional reasons, Eiberle ended his career in high-class football in the summer of 1934.
