Kurt Voss (born July 8, 1900 in Kiel ; † April 8, 1978 ) was a German football player .

Career

Voss, who was considered a huge talent , belonged to Holstein Kiel from 1916 to 1931 , for whom he played in the championships organized by the North German Football Association , from the 1920/21 season in the Northern District League, from the 1922/23 season in the district , from the following season in the Schleswig-Holstein district league , from the 1928/29 season in the round of ten and from the 1929/30 season in the Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga league games. Due to the regional successes - including winning the North German Championship three times - he took part in the uninterrupted seasons 1925/26 to 1930/31 with the team in the respective finals for the German Championship. In his total of 15 final round matches, he scored four goals, making his debut on May 16, 1926 in Kiel in an 8-2 victory in the round of 16 against Stettiner SC and on May 30, 1926 in Berlin , in a 4-0 victory over SV North-Northwest with the goal to the final score in the 90th minute, scored his first goal. In the 1929/30 season he and his team reached the final, which was lost on June 22nd at the Rheinstadion in Düsseldorf 4-5 against Hertha BSC .

He completed the 1931/32 season for ABTS Bremen in the Oberliga Weser-Jade , before he moved to Neunkirchen in Saarland and played his debut season for Borussia Neunkirchen in the Saar group championship within the Rhein / Saar district league, organized by the South German Football Association . From 1933 to 1936 he was in the Gauliga Südwest , in one of initially 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as a uniform top division in the German Reich .

Selection / national team

Voss was a player in the selection team of the North German Football Association and on February 22, 1925 in Hamburg he won the final of the National Cup , the competition for the selection teams of the regional associations, against the selection team of the South German Football Association with 2: 1; he scored the goal for 1-0 in the 58th minute. On March 6, 1927, he again advanced to the final, but lost 1-0 to the selection team of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs in Altona . He played two international matches for the senior team in 1925 , making his debut on March 29 in Amsterdam in the 2-1 defeat by the Dutch national team and scoring his first international goal in the 78th minute with the goal of the final score.
