This article covers the Ukrainian women's national soccer team at the 2009 European Championship in Finland .
qualification
Ukraine was for the qualification drawn in Group 5 and met with Denmark , Portugal , Scotland and Slovakia . With six wins, one draw and one defeat, the Ukrainians finished second behind Denmark.
The Ukraine prevailed in the play-off games against Slovenia and also qualified for the European Championship finals. However, Scotland lost to Russia due to the away goals rule .
