This article covers the French women's national football team at the 2009 European Championship in Finland .

qualification

France was for the qualification are in Group 3 and met Greece , Iceland , Serbia and Slovenia . With seven wins and one defeat, the French were group winners and qualified directly for the finals.

Iceland prevailed against Ireland in the play-offs , while Slovenia lost to Ukraine .

Coach Bruno Bini nominated his squad for the tournament on June 11, 2009. Exactly two months later, he nominated Laure Lepailleur because the originally appointed Sandrine Dusang tore a cruciate ligament during training .
