This article is about the Danish women's national football team at the 2009 European Championship in Finland .
qualification
Denmark were drawn to qualify in Group 5 and faced Portugal , Scotland , Slovakia and Ukraine . With seven wins and one defeat, the Danes qualified as group winners for the finals.
Ukraine prevailed against Slovenia in the play-offs , while Scotland lost to Russia on the away goals rule .
