Nanna Christiansen (born June 17, 1989 ) is a Danish soccer player . The midfielder has played for Brøndby IF since 2007, with a short break, and for the Danish national team since 2009 .
Career
societies
Christiansen started at BK Skjold when he was eight . In 2006 she was named Danish Talent of the Year. In 2007 she moved to the Danish master Brøndby IF . With the club she became champions in her home country in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017 and won the trophy in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 . In 2017 she was the top scorer in the league with 18 goals.
At European level, she reached the quarter-finals of the 2007/08 UEFA Women's Cup with Brøndby , but failed there after both had won 1-0 away on penalties against Italian champions ASD CF Bardolino . In the 2008/09 season , the quarter-finals were reached again, but this time both games were lost against the Russian champions Zvezda 2005 Perm (2-4 and 1-3). In the UEFA Women's Champions League 2009/10 it was already over in the round of 16, where the Danes lost against eventual winners 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam with 1-0 and 4-0. Along the way, Nanna had scored two goals in the group stage and helped Brøndby finish them as group winners. In the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League she made it to the round of 16 with Brøndby, where they were eliminated after a 1-1 away match and a 2-0 home defeat by Lillestrøm SK Kvinner . The round of 16 also ended in 2019/20 , this time after a 2-0 home defeat and a 2-0 away win on penalties against Glasgow City FC . She had brought her team 1-0 lead in Glasgow and was the only Danish woman to hit in the penalty shoot-out, lost 3-1.
National teams
On April 11, 2005, she had her first appearance in the Danish U-17 team, with which she then finished third at the Nordic Cup 2005 in July . A month later she played for the U-19 team for the first time. With her she took part in the U-19 European Championship in 2006 , in which the team lost 1-0 in the semi-finals against France. With eight qualifying goals , she then also ensured that the U-19 finals were reached in 2007 . On March 4, 2009 she came on in the Algarve Cup in the first group game against the USA for her first appearance in the senior national team when she came on in the 72nd minute for the then 96-time national player Cathrine Paaske Sørensen . Nanna then came in two more tournament games, u. a. the game for 3rd place against world champions Germany , which was won 1-0, but was also substituted on. This was followed by appearances in the qualification for the 2011 World Cup , which was missed in the playoffs against Sweden , two appearances in the four-nation tournament in Brazil and the qualification for the EM 2013 , which was successful. At the European Championship finals , however, she only played a 26-minute game against Finland . In the again unsuccessful qualification for the 2015 World Cup , in which they went as group favorite, but ultimately behind Switzerland , which was able to qualify for the first time and Iceland only finished third, she came to six appearances. After she was completely without an international appearance in 2015, she came to the Algarve Cup 2016 , which the Danes finished seventh in all four games. This was followed by appearances in the successful qualification for the 2017 European Championships and the 2017 Algarve Cup , which the Danes finished third after beating Australia on penalties . In June she was nominated for the 2017 European Championship finals . At the finals she was in the starting line-up for the first time in the second group game against the Dutch , but was substituted in the 64th minute. In the last group game against Norway , she was substituted on in the second minute of stoppage time for the only goalscorer of the game, Katrine Veje . Then she was only used again in the final when she was substituted on in the 82nd minute, but could not turn the game around.
In the subsequent qualification for the 2019 World Cup , she was used in the seven group matches played and the two playoff matches against European champions Netherlands. With two defeats the Danes missed the World Cup finals. In qualifying for EM 2022 , she made her 100th international match on October 8, 2019 in a 2-0 away win against Georgia .
