Fuhsetal is the name of a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony city ​​of Peine and the municipality of Edemissen in the Peine district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG BR 065 is 380  hectares and includes the valley of the river Fuhse from Peine to Abbensen . It extends from the federal highway 444 in Peine to the regional highway 320 in Abbensen and follows the course of the Fuhse between Vöhrum , Eixe and Röhrse . The nature reserve is crossed by the embankment of the railway line formerly leading to Uetze, the district road 3 between Vöhrum and Eixe and the federal motorway 2 . In addition, run another road and several rural roads through the nature reserve.

The foot is mostly straightened . Its wide floodplain , which is moist within the nature reserve , is mainly used as grassland . Along the course of the river there are fallow areas , which are characterized by reed beds , large sedge beds , trees and bushes. The lowland is interspersed with partly heavily overgrown oxbow lakes and individual other still waters .

The area has been a nature reserve since January 16, 1985. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Peine.
