coat of arms

The coat of arms shows three golden oak leaves with three golden acorns arranged underneath on a blue shield. These symbols refer to the assumed original meaning of the place name as "Eichenheim". The colors blue and gold show the bond with the former Duchy of Braunschweig-Lüneburg , to which the place belonged for centuries.
