Positions

In Stern , he commented on anti-Semitism as follows: “Anti-Semitism can begin on the playground. Even there, it is important not to tolerate apparently harmless abuse. Because they transport hatred into the next generation. "

reception

In the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Uwe Neumärker , director of the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe , reviewed the book Antisemitism and Discrimination Perceptions of Young Muslims in Europe (2012) , published by Klartext Verlag : “If the text were to be streamlined and pointed, the Core messages have become even clearer. Nevertheless, the study proves, within the scope of its possibilities, anti-Jewish tendencies in parts of Western European society, to which Muslims belong, who should alarm in their vehemence up to violence and at the same time isolation. "

The journalist Ramona Ambs commented on the anthology Controversial History (2013) published by Campus-Verlag on haGalil with: “The compilation of the book is extremely successful and gives an insight into the European and non-European reception of Muslims on the Holocaust. The fact that differentiation is made and possible solutions are discussed make this volume all the more valuable for political discourse. In addition, there are always small, unexpected stories that give the theory the color that a scientific work needs to have a lasting effect. ”Another predominantly positive review of the book was in the bulletin of the Fritz Bauer Institute on the history and effects of the Holocaust .
