Gütterlitz is a district of the rural community city Auma-Weidatal in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

geography

Gütterlitz is located on the northern edge of the Auma forest on the state road 1087 from Auma to Triptis . The district of the village lies on the northern edge of the East Thuringian-Vogtland plateau with transition to the Orlasenke and the Saale-Elster sandstone slab .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1378.

Only the church built in 1740 remains of the former estate . A fortified mansion once existed right next to the still existing pond. This was canceled after 1945 on the basis of Order No. 209 of the Soviet Military Administration in Germany . The existing pond is the remainder of the former fortification. Remnants of the outbuildings of the estate are still present. Up in the village and right next to the pond there were two village mills. They were mentioned in 1682 during an inventory.

On July 1, 1950, Gütterlitz became a district of Auma .
